DirectGov website
The DirectGov wesite contains a wide range of information of interest to disabled people. They also have information for carers.
Disability Rights Commission
The DRC offers advice and guidance to people about disability rights and produces a range of information and campaigning materials including a regular newsletter.
Employers' Forum on Disability
The Employers' Forum on Disability is a high profile membership organisation for national employers interesting in supporting the employment of disabled jobseekers. They tend to be quite a commercially orientated organisation.
Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities
The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities works to promote the rights, quality of life and opportunities of people with learning disabilities and their families.
Health and Safety Executive
The HSE is increasingly involved in issuing guidance to employers about their duties regarding mental health and stress in the workplace and managing sickness absence.
Mencap
Mencap is a national charity representing the interests of people with learning disabilities and they provide employment services around the UK.
Mindful Employer
The Mindful Employer website offers guidance and support to organisations who employ people with mental health needs. The forum is based in the south west of England.
National Employment Panel
The NEP is an alliance of employers who aim to encourage the increased employment of disadvantaged sections of society. They have written a number of influential documents about the employment of disabled workers and people from minority ethnic communities. These include "Able to Work" and "Enterprising People, Enterprising Places".
National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE)
National and regional news about support for people with menatl health needs including the implementation of the Social Exclusion Unit report on Mental Health.
Turning Point
Turning Point provide accommodation and employment services to people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and substance misusers. They have written a key campaigning paper in response to Valuing People called "Hidden Lives".
Scope
Scope is becoming an increasingly campaigning organisation and produced the "Ready, Willing and Disabled" report. Their site includes tips for employers and disabled jobseekers.

Vocational Rehabilitation Association
The VRA are involved in a range of occupational health and rehabilitation issues and are involved in developing national qualifications and standards for the vocational rehabilitation sector.

Department for Work and Pensions
The DWP website has a wealth of statistical information, research papers and policy analysis. Their Resource Centre is organised into Working age research and analysis, which contains a lot of useful policy reports, the Information and Analysis Directorate, which contains a lot of statistical information, and the Social Research Division, which contains a lot of evaluation reports.

The Department of Health is involved in a range of initiatives around employment and disability including:
